Dash Dance Company

Dash Dance Company is for serious dancers ages 8 and up. Join us for local performances and competitions. Only those who are hard working and love dance should apply. Open auditions will be held on Sept 10th. Not everyone is promised a spot on the team. Those who have a high technical skill level and are dedicated to dance will be blessed with self-confidence and memories to cherish a lifetime!

Saturday September 10, 2011
Ages 8-12 1:00-3:00
Ages 13-18 3:30 to 5:00

Important Information:
* Students will meet 1 hour on Thursdays (4:30-5:30 or 5:30-6:30 depending on age)
* 1st semester (September thorugh December)
* 2nd semester (January through June)
* Students are allowed 2 absenses for each semester
* Students are required to take at least one additional dance class each week at BDTS.
* Competitions and Saturday rehearsals (January through June) are mandatory

Cost: $750 for the academic year
This cost covers costumes, entry fees, classes and rehearsals. It does not include any costs for choreography of specially requested solos or duos.
Those interested in performing solos and/or duos must submit a request by Sept 29. The opportunity to perform a solo is an honor and requires additional rehearsals, fees and costuming. Solo song, dance style and costume will be selected by the artistic director to best fit the individual.

The intention of the competetion dance team is simple: to provide dancers with opportunities to inspire, to motivate, to challenge and to enrich. "Competition" is not just about winning. It is about participating.
