Happy March! Reminder that Spring Break is April 6-11 and the studio will be closed during this time. Enjoy your rest!
Keeping the Studio Healthy:
An email was sent out to the studio (included below). I have highlighted in red the action steps we ask that faculty/staff take to ensure we maintain a healthy studio environment:
Dear Barriskill Families,
We hope this message finds you well and healthy. As you know, we are in the thick of flu season and facing the threat of the Coronavirus affecting our region. We want to take a moment to share what we are proactively doing at Barriskill to keep our students and faculty healthy:
after each class we wipe down the ballet barres (and dots for preschool classes)
we offer hand sanitizer to each student as they enter and leave their classes
we continue to have cleaners and Enviromaster (who sanitize the bathrooms) at the studio on a weekly basis
We ask that each Barriskill student and family continue to do their part to ensure the health of our school - please:
encourage good hand hygiene, scrubbing hands with soap and water for greater than 20 seconds
remain at home if you have a fever (100 degrees or more) and/or rash within 24 hours of dance class
beyond a fever, do not send your children to class with a cough or shortness of breath
if your child does not go to school on a given day, do not send them to Barriskill on that same day students can freely make up missed classes when they are feeling better
be cautious returning to Barriskill after family travels to and from affected regions (such as for Spring Break) The CDC keeps an updated website of affected states
Nothing is more important to us than the health and wellbeing of our students, faculty and staff. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
In good health,
The Barriskill Team
