Nutcracker Auditions-- Saturday, September 6th 2025

• Students enrolled at Barriskill ages 7+ or in ballet 1+ are eligible to audition.

  • Due to the high number of students interested in auditioning, we cannot cast dancers who do not attend the audition. Please make sure you are aware of all Mandatory Rehearsal dates before auditioning. 

• Nutcracker Audition Schedule on Saturday, September 6:

  Dancers should use their ballet level first - if they do not take ballet, they audition by age: 

• 10:00-11:00 Ballet 1 & 2 (ages 7-9)

• 11:15-12:15 Ballet 3 & 4 (ages 10-12) 

• 12:30-1:30 Ballet 5 & 6 (ages 12+) 

• 2:00-3:30 Ballet 7, 8, Pre-Pro 

• 3:45-4:15 Callbacks (for selected Ballet 7, 8, Pre-Pro students only)

Saturday, September 13th - Rehearsals begin (not everyone will be called– September rehearsal schedule will be posted 9/10/24.

Saturday, October 25th Mandatory Act 2 Rehearsal HOLD 12:30-3:00

Sunday, November 9th Mandatory Act 1 Rehearsal HOLD 12:30-3:00
 

Saturday and Sunday, November 22nd & 23rd (Rehearsals +Costume Parades)

November 22: Act 1, 12:30-4:00

November 23: Act 2, 12:30-4:00

Mandatory Rehearsal & Costume Parade! Cast members will come to rehearsal in performance-ready hair and makeup, with their appropriate shoes and tights. All cast members will try on their costumes for final alterations to be made. (Please note, this is the weekend before Thanksgiving)

 

November 24th - November 28 - Studio Closed for Thanksgiving Break

December 6, 2024  Mandatory Full Run (Both Acts) 

 

Tech and Performance Week at Reynolds. Mandatory Rehearsals:

Times TBD -- All of the Following take place at Duke's Reynolds Theater. 

 

Monday, December 15th: Act 1 Tech/Dress

 

Tuesday, December 16th: Act 2 Tech/Dress

 

Wednesday, December 17th: ALL Called

 

Thursday, December 18th: Final Dress. ALL CALLED

 

Friday, December 19th: Opening Night Performance, 7pm

 

Saturday, December 20th: Performances 11am and 5pm

 

Sunday, December 21st: Performance 2pm

        

        **ALL performances are MANDATORY for all cast members.
