SarahAnne Perel

SarahAnne Perel grew up in New York, attending the School of American Ballet from 2004-2014. As a child, she performed in countless productions with the New York City Ballet, and attended summer programs at San Francisco Ballet and Miami City Ballet among others. SarahAnne also had the opportunity to study with Suzanne Farrell for three summers at the Kennedy Center in D.C. Upon graduation from SAB and Professional Children’s School, she joined Los Angeles Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member. There, she performed under the leadership of Colleen Neary and Thordal Christensen, originating roles such as Clara in The Nutcracker, and Amore in Don Quixote. In 2016, SarahAnne began her studies at Duke University. While at Duke she continued to dance with Los Angeles Ballet, Carolina Ballet, the Duke Dance Program under Tyler Walters and Julie Janus Walters, and Devils en Pointe, of which she was the Artistic Director. SarahAnne received the Julia Wray Award and Clay Taliaferro Award for outstanding leadership and promise in the Dance Program. She graduated from Duke University magna cum laude in May 2020 with a BA in International Comparative Studies with minors in Dance and Spanish. Following graduation in 2020, SarahAnne joined the Corps de Ballet at Carolina Ballet, where she continues to perform today. She has taught ballet at the School of American Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet School, and Triangle Day School.
