Traci Curtis

She/Her

Traci Curtis began dancing at age 4, studying tap, jazz, and ballet in her hometown. She danced competitively from age 8 to 16, and performed in the Opening Ceremonies of the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta, GA. In 2003, she graduated from UNC-Asheville with a B.A. in literature and a K-6 teaching license. Over the next five years, she taught 4th grade and then Kindergarten. She also worked as an instructor in studios across western North Carolina, performed in musical theatre productions, and was chief makeup artist in those productions. In 2020, Traci became a certified Rhythm Works Integrative Dance instructor, a program which seeks to include people with disabilities in the dance world. She joined Barriskill in 2015, and loves spending time with her husband Alan and their three daughters.
