Adult Division Classes

BDTS is proud to offer adult dance and fitness classes. Adult students can expect to improve strength & flexibility, both mentally and physically, and have fun while doing it! There is no dress code for adult classes. Dancers should wear clothes they are comfortable moving in and the appropriate footwear.

Ballet Fundamentals

Adult Ballet Fundamentals is a four-session series that builds a strong technical foundation through focused review of essential ballet principles. This course is required prior to admission into Adult Ballet 1.

Ballet 1

Ballet 2

Completion of Ballet Fundamentals is required prior to enrolling in Adult Ballet 1. This class is designed for beginner ballet dancers. Students should wear clothing they are comfortable moving in and bring ballet shoes or socks. 

Ballet 3

Students should have at least one year of ballet experience and a basic knowledge of ballet vocabulary. Many students are returning to ballet after several (or more) years. Class begins with exercises at the barre and progresses to centerwork. 

Adult Ballet 2 is designed to be a gradual reintroduction or continuing study for students who have at least 6 months of ballet experience and a basic knowledge of ballet vocabulary. Many students are returning to ballet after several (or more) years. Class begins with exercises at the barre and progresses to center-work. 

Hip Hop Conditioning

This high-energy class blends hip hop dance with full-body conditioning to build strength, stamina, and style. Each session builds on choreography with targeted fitness exercises to boost cardio, improve coordination and tone muscle. 

This class is geared towards tap beginners and those who haven't tapped in a while. We will learn tap technique, history, classic and modern choreography, and fun combinations that will keep you dancing all week long. Relaxed workout attire and tap shoes required. 

Yoga

A Vinyasa-style class that focuses on integrating breath with movement. We practice the foundations of yoga asana (poses) to strengthen and nurture our bodies and minds. This class offers personalized sequences to meet those who attend, aiming to provide an accessible and sustainable movement practice.
